You and your loved ones are invited to the 164th Commencement ceremony at Washington University in St. Louis!
Date: Monday, May 12, 2025
Time: 9 a.m.
Location: Francis Olympic Field (rain or shine)
The Commencement festival will begin immediately following the ceremony, stretching from Mudd Field to Tisch Park with food, drinks, games, photo opportunities, and live entertainment! We’ll announce details about the festival soon!
A few things you need to do to get ready:
1. Let us know if you plan to attend Commencement!
RSVP for Commencement. Include the number of guests who plan to join you in your RSVP. Please RSVP even if you do not plan to participate in the university-wide Commencement ceremony.
2. Reserve your regalia.
Regalia is required to participate in the university-wide Commencement ceremony. The deadline to reserve your rental regalia is April 11, 2025.
3. Learn about other graduation-related events.
Check the calendar of events for details about individual school, program, and affinity ceremonies that will be held between Wednesday, May 7, and Thursday, May 15.
We encourage families to attend their student’s school events as well as the university-wide Commencement ceremony.
4. Plan to join our affinity celebrations.
Our affinity celebrations are open to all graduating students. If you would like to participate in or attend an affinity celebration, please be sure to fill out the registration form. The deadline for registration is April 4, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. (CDT).
5. Register for the Class Toast.
Celebrate with Chancellor Martin and your Class of 2025 friends at the Class Toast to kick off Commencement season! This event will be held in Brookings Quad on Monday, March 31. Register today!
As a reminder, our graduation fair is happening this week on the Danforth campus.
