December Recognition Ceremony

Doors open at 8:30 a.m.
December Recognition Ceremony will include a graduate procession, remarks from Chancellor Andrew Martin, speaker remarks, the Recognition of Candidates for Degrees, and a graduate recession.
Graduate candidates will have their name announced as they cross the stage and have their photo taken.
Invitations will be emailed to all summer graduates and fall degree candidates in October. Family and guests are welcome to attend this ceremony.
Tickets & Policies
Tickets
Tickets are required. Graduates will be emailed their ticket. Graduates are responsible for sending the ticket to their guests. Currently there is no limit on invited guests. Policy is subject to change.
Bag Policies
Graduates may not bring bags into the Athletic Complex. Please plan accordingly. For guests, the following types of bags will be allowed onto the Athletic Complex:
- Clear bags, not to exceed 14″ x 14″ x 4″
- Small clutches or purses, not to exceed 4″ x 6″
- Medically necessary bags, including diaper bags
All approved bags are subject to inspection upon entry. Guests with bags or items that do not satisfy the bag policy are encouraged to return their bags or items to their vehicle.

Flowers & Gifts
Flowers and gifts will be available for purchase at the ceremony through Bear Necessities. Graduates and guests are encouraged to pre-order flowers and gifts for pick-up on Saturday, December 13.
Grad Portraits
Graduates will have their photo taken as they cross the stage and after they exit the stage. Images will be available for purchase from Grad Images. University photos and a recorded video of the December Recognition Ceremony will be posted on Widen and YouTube.
Live Streaming
The December Recognition Ceremony will be streamed online and accessible via the Commencement homepage. The streaming will include live captions.
